Qn1. If i pay someone on PayPal or if i make a payment or transfer of PayPal funds and the receiver gets money but with a message that money is on hold for 7 days. what are 7 days according to PayPal calculation?
Answer: When you transfer money from your account to someone else account and the receiver gets a message telling him to wait 7 days for money to be available, it will generally take 5-7 working days to fully complete, as this is how long it takes for banks to send the funds. weekend days are not counted as working days, you would not count them in this case. And also if money is made late evening lets say Monday. Monday wont be counted. u will start on Tuesday to count.
Then holidays may again affect the exact timing of when your money is deposited. so if money was paid during holidays, extra days may be added. so dont be afraid when u see a delay.
If you don’t see the money clearing through to your balance after this timeframe has passed, please let Paypal Know or try to refund and sender resends. If its a huge amount, we advise to break it down in to two halves or 3.
Qn2: Is Saturday considered a business day for PayPal?
Not unless the banking system in your country supports Saturdays as working days. The thing is paypal keeps money in a certain bank depending on a country you have your paypal from. evenif your money shows in your account balance, its keep somewhere in Paypal bank account, so if u make a transfer, money tranfers has to follow bank rules somehow and Most countries baking days are Monday to Friday. Transactions initiated on saturday or Sunday – are usually processed on the next working day (Monday). If Monday is a bank holiday – then it’s processed on the Tuesday
So to be clear, don’t count Saturday as a working day in Paypal
