This was my problem. i had an email back in 2017 but i was not using YouTube channel until i decided this year to start producing video content, so i went to youtube activated my  channel and i uploaded some videos, then i realized some big videos which exceeded  15 minutes where not successful and i was getting a message that i needed to first verify youtube account.

So i tried another number form another network, and  this time i got the 6 digit code but unfortunately  when i entered it, i got message that code the code was incorrect. i tried to enter it again but same issue

Then at this moment, I tried to repeat these steps with other two phone number, but  i  was still getting that  error below

There was a problem sending a verification code to xxxxxxxxxx. Please enter a different phone number.

This is how i  solved the error  –  {i tried 4 times and it worked}

Simple: repeat the same  steps with the same number over and over again, you don’t actually need to change even the number your are using because its not your mobile network issue, its a problem with YouTube itself, its kind of a bug they are having and to believe me, you can try to go to this tread on google support. https://support.google.com/youtube/thread/32681218, Over 1314 people are complaining of this same issue and its where i also started from until i got my own solution.

When you dont get a code, go back and put number again and submit, when u put it and it says its incorrect, try again. If it fails , Try again and again. Thats all.

Me i had to put the number 4 times, My colleague in Canada tried 6 times and it worked

Go back and try again. And use the same number.
