You need to prove that your salary is being regularly paid. The e-bank statement must show:

Pro Tip 💡

Step-by-Step Process of Applying for Dubai Golden Visa

Here’s how the process unfolded for me, from application to getting the Emirates ID:

  1. Application at Amer Center
    I started by visiting an Amer Center (DAFZA branch in my case) where I submitted my Golden Visa application and made the required payment. The staff handled everything smoothly, including the initial paperwork and submission.

  2. Receiving Pre-Approval
    Shortly after, I received a pre-approval confirmation from GDRFA. This step basically means your application has been accepted for processing and you can move forward to the medical stage.

  3. Booking Medical Test at Smart Salem
    With pre-approval in hand, I booked a VIP medical test at Smart Salem. This medical check is mandatory and covers the standard health requirements. The VIP service was quick and efficient, with same-day results.

  4. Completing the Medical & Receiving Results
    After undergoing the medical test, I received the results within the same day. Having results so quickly helps speed up the visa issuance process significantly.

  5. Employer Cancels Old Visa
    Once the medical was cleared, my current employer cancelled my old visa. This is a required step before a new residency permit can be issued under the Golden Visa program.

  6. Golden eVisa Issued
    Right after the cancellation was completed, I received my new Golden eVisa by email from GDRFA. This confirmed that my residency status had officially been transferred.

  7. Applying for Emirates ID via ICP Portal

🔍 What’s Changed  in 2025 -2026: The New Salary Requirement

  • Previously, candidates could qualify for the Golden Visa based on a gross salary of AED 30,000 (which includes allowances like housing, transport, etc.).

  • As of 2025, the requirement has been shifted to a basic salary of AED 30,000 per month — excluding allowances. That means only your base pay (before housing or other benefits) is counted.

Besides the salary, there are additional criteria you need to meet:

  • Professional classification: The role usually has to be in MoHRE’s (UAE’s Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization) Level 1 or Level 2 categories (senior/executive/managerial roles or specialized jobs like doctors, engineers, educators, etc.).
